Until I started the purchase, collection and sale of gold, I had no idea this way when ladies wore pendants which were in fact pens or pencils. In addition, some of them made of real gold. These charming pendants dangled from a long chain around their necks, but are much more interesting than a piece of jewelry. And if they were made by the famous Tiffany & Co., one as stated above right, and now they have become a valuable collector’s item.

This incredible mechanical telescopic pencil pendant is fashioned from 14k pink gold. It is a beautiful rose pink shade. Closed up, as shown in first photo is a beautiful 2 1 / 2 inches long, but when it is extended to become an instrument of writing, it is a 4 3 / 4 inches. The same goes for many designers vintage. For example, it is true that all parties have signed Weiss. Some have said the same thing by Miriam Haskell. So how on earth can we know?

The misfortune is that this situation led to a proliferation of counterfeits. Most of us looking for vintage jewelry first glance at the signature on the back of the room. For many designers, this signature will be either a cartridge or oval earrings, stamped right on the clips themselves.
It is therefore imperative that anyone looking to buy vintage jewelry to become familiar with authentic signatures.

A place where you can rotate, which is a wonderful resource is the search site of jewelry. You can see the designers and brands in alphabetical order, there are many photos and signatures to help. This is a site I like and you should find that you refer to often. But keep in mind one thing: those who sell counterfeit cartridges vendors May also be the designer of the signature in them. 2) designer jewelry is rare
3) the condition is excellent
4) if you buy to wear, invest or sell

This is even more valuable as an investment, it is a 5-piece dress! Wow … now rare. It consists of necklace, bracelet, earrings and pins 2. It was a fabulous vintage jewelry investment. It was sold on ebay with a “buy it now” price of $ 1850. The person who bought it had accepted an offer of $ 1400.

So here's what happened. He was selling what he calls Schiaparelli months. I had my eyes on one. Again, I heard the inner voice tells me that the piece did not quite look like a Schiaparelli. ART DECO BRACELETS

To all our American friends (I’m in Canada) I hope you had a good weekend Memorial Day. I took yesterday and realized that I had forgotten all about this blog, I am again, this time to talk about Art Deco jewelry, especially, Art Deco, like bracelets that for the post .

The Art Deco period, jewelry in 1920 in the summer of 1940 and it was a moment of what some might consider mood and design of jewelry. I prefer to speak of a complex design. The stones in this piece are what is known as pulp stone, instead of rhinestones. Note also the most unusual locking and closing when a metal shaft through the lock slide in the band of about 2.3 inches. A little more than construction, but May be typical of that era.

I do not have this bracelet. I put in my shop at Ruby Lane and someone bought within 72 hours! This person was married and she was delighted to have her wedding day. She felt it was the perfect finishing touch to his traditional costume. She wrote to me immediately after receiving it to tell me how much she loved it. WHITING & DAVIS

WHITING & DAVIS: MODERN VINTAGE
Today I want to introduce you to one of my favorite vintage designers, WHITING & DAVIS.

The first piece of Whiting & Davis, I’ve never bought a watch on the left. When he arrived, I was blown. I could not believe this year may look good and can be so “today”!

My daughter in her mid-20’s. She giggled a little when I think of jewelry, then she saw the room. Like me, she was blown away by his supervisor of construction, new and fashionable look.

This classic example of Whiting & Davis has two fabulously 28 – 30 inches from the string that hangs a beautiful pendant. The pendant is bezel-style filigree, measuring 1 3 / 4 “long and has a magnificent piece of smoky quartz clear. The stone itself is 1 inch long and about 3 / 4″ wide.

Whiting & Davis was famous for using only the finest metals and there is no gold or silver, these metals really take the beating and not show it. This necklace bears the mark of new and even more likely that it dates back to the 50. It comes with the Whiting & Davis hung dangling near the clasp tag.

This is just one of many excellent Whiting & Davis necklaces I have. I also have some of their bracelets clamping, a reversal of cameo glass that you can see here, and even an old, very vintage locket that opens to a small house in the photo. By the way, it tickled my fancy this when my daughter asked to bring one of my necklaces Whiting & Davis with his black turtleneck sweater about a month back. It looked wonderful. She certainly had a load of people asking where she bought it!

There is just something incredibly attractive to a necklace like the one described here. What a delightful piece! It is vintage designer, Krementz.

Dating from the 50 – or 70 if that 12 “- 14″ neck are not solid gold (you can pay a pretty penny for it if it was because it weighs over 14 grams), but is completed in gold overlay, something that has not been used by many designers vintage Krementz. TAXCO recalls SILVER LINK BRACELET

Back in 1982, when my children were 2 and 6 months, my husband and I took them with us in Acapulco. Brave, do not you think? Well, all went well until the last 48 hours, but I’ll tell you another time.

What I want in my blog here is that the beautiful silver bracelet in the photo that is currently for sale on my web site at VINTAGE JEWELRY SHOWCASE. During this trip, the end of an evening where we put the children to sleep and her husband said he would stay with them, I ventured out into the street in front of our hotel. The street was teeming with tourists and vendors .. not sure what it was over. Well, I was not 50 feet from the entrance to the hotel where I was nailed seller of jewelry he had to show me. Another of my favorite designers is vintage Albert Weiss.

Albert Weiss jewelry was popular from the 1940s to the 1970s. Most of the pieces that I have met are very nice, with marquise-cut, high quality Austrian crystal rhinestones.

Weiss rhinestone jewelry is similar to Eisenberg, but other parts of 50 years also rhinestone encrusted butterflies, fruits and flowers.

The play shows the picture above absolutely beautiful, and available for purchase in our RUBY LANE SHOP, really surprised me when I first saw it.
